Antagonist
I look in to your eyes
And I know I love you
I look into your eyes
and see them fill to the brim with grief
I hold your hand
inches from your scars
I cringe
And smile at you
I play with your hair
Just after you chopped it all off
I bight my lip
and laugh with you
So rare
I look at my phone
and see your words
of despair
I look at your life
and try to understand
So hard
I hope I can help
But
You don’t really want it
I asked for help from others
But
They don’t do much
So it’s me and you
and this other character
In the story
The antagonist
And the funny thing
Is that the antagonist
is really part of you
