Washed Up On The Shore
Just an empty shell washed up on the shore
Waiting for something, anything more
Could you pick me up, fill me with purpose
Tell me I'm worth it
Brush off the sand and buff off the surface
and I could shine, I'd talk and not hurt this
But see you're fragile too
Beaten down by the sea and don't know what to do
So I'm left here to think, alone, as it were
With "we" both word and concept
beginning to blur
I wish we could go back to that time, start anew
When being with me was enough for you too.
