"If only"
Simple words we utter
All to frequently
Not realizing how
Much weight they
Really carry
With two words
We wish away storms
That thunder in our lives
Wish away
People, who trample
On our hearts
Wish away
Circumstances we
Find in any way distasteful
Wish away
Lessons, we
Learned the hard way
"If only" is a wish
That never will come true
If only I hadn't
Had reason
To waste that
Wish on you
