As I Lie in a Meadow Green
As I lay in a meadow green,
The moonlight bathing only the mean,
My soul is me
And it is not free
A voice once known rings in my ear
I run to it, to see it, to again be near
Though fate strikes me
A single flame is lit for "we"
As I run to the voice
Good or Bad is now my choice
The moon and stars crash on me
My wrongs, I now can see
Never abandon, never leave
Never gossip, never deceive
Never destroy, never ignore
Never betray, never more
With that flame lit again
Forgiveness I must attain
I push away the moon and stars
Though there, never can mend, is their scars
Again, forgiveness I must begin,
Though no excuse can atone for my sin,
Ill admit, anger is depressions creation
With our friendship, I must aid in salvation
Forgive me,
Forgive me not,
I can see
A lesson I've been taught
