Goodbye Me, Thanks to You
You got it
Shining on a silver platter
My heart-beaten and battered
Stitched and pieced sloppily together
You laughed
It touched those blue green eyes
Your mockery glinted in the thing that once
Gave me safety
Gave me a home
"There was no time,"
You choke out under sarcastic chuckling
"To fall in love."
With those few words
You shattered the pieces
There my last sliver of myself lie
Bleeding
Broken
Fading Away
I reach down with little strength
Little hope to save me
But your lies came down before my saving hand
And with that one month of trust
I am gone
