The Nymph
The Nymph looks around her blindly
Searching for the man of her dreams
Unbeknownst to the beautiful Nymph,
She has trampled him under her feet.
He lies there, hurt and dying,
The pedestal for the beautiful Nymph,
While she stands there hurt and crying
Wondering what happened to him.
With his final tears and dying breath
The man beneath her proclaims,
“My Nymph and my wife, remember for me
Beauty isn’t everything.”
Unbeknownst to the beautiful Nymph
She had trampled him under her feet.
Unbeknownst to the beautiful Nymph,
She had killed the man of her dreams.
