The Goddess Child
I am a broken child
Bred of simplicity and fragmented glass
I am a hungry child
Who simply can’t not absorb what she takes
I am a lonely child
Abandoned for the thought of a better life
I am a quiet child
Afraid to speak to loud for fear I snap
I am angry child
With a half-hearted smile on my lips
I am dead child
With a heart that beats because man willed it to be so
I am a lost child
For I have nowhere to go
I am a sick child
With no treatment in sight
I am a sad child
With a twisted, broken, scattered heart
I am a loved child
Given favor in the Goddess’s eyes
I am a gifted child
But the gift has yet to blossom
