Questioning Reality....
There’s a question that always lies in the back of our mind…
Is this for real?
The green grass
The air we breathe
This knife in my back was it even really there?
Look over my shoulder
It just got ten degrees colder
The blood trail behind me
Is it better to find meaning than live in oblivion?
The streets of New York are plundered
The one red leaf in a sea of black
The blood stained leaf that makes the trees question life
The birds sing but their eyes scream deceit.
Take me away
Let me haunt this night
I pass blurred faces
The whisper that seemed to circle my brain forever
I’m being hijacked
