Ever Forever
The smell is rustic, old,
But the content is as fresh as ever,
The casing once blue, is faded,
The name has long ago worn away,
But the content is as lovely as ever,
It's pages rustle softly-crinkle-crinkle,
They whisper their stories to me,
I lie there-absorbing their wisdom,
The words are quiet, hardly there,
But the content is as lively as ever,
Their long forgotten tales I leave behind,
Put on a book shelf for unknown time,
But their stories will be their forever.

So I suppose what I want readers to get from my poem is that many things fade with time but words and curiosity don't. So keep writing, future generations and present ones will appreciate you.
