Fading Away
The weight of my heavy eyelids is pulling me down
dragging me
drowning me into darkness as the capsules dissolve in the pit of my stomach
Helped by the raw life water,so do my troubles.
It may only be a temporary escape
but it's relief is worth all the trouble
I hold onto it as best I can
not wanting to see clearly again
Not wanting to wake and come face to face with my demons
I much rather shut my eyes and refuse to take a look around
much rather pretend that everything is fine
Throw on a smile as you would a shirt and live life blindly
