The trees are tall
And bear
Reaching for the safety
Of each other
As the sun burst
Bright fire of
Deep reds
Bloody oranges
And happy yellows
To displace the
Sad dark blues
That covers the earth
The trees smile
For they know
The day has won
Again

For now
