Dear Diary
Dear Diary,
I sit here by the lake
By the trees
And listen to the river flow
It feels good to be alone
To be free
To not have anyone tell you something
You don’t really want to hear
I laugh at the flowers
They way they dance in the wind
I smile at the river
How it peacefully moves
Not a care in the world
Yet as I sit here I start to think
“Is this really what I want?”
To be alone and free
Or with people and held back
