Love and Lust
The other day I met a girl,
She told me her name was Love.
I asked her where her parents were,
And she said you couldn't say.
Suddenly a man appeared,
He picked Love up,
and drug her slowly away.
Later on the news,
I saw the little girls face.
Beneath her picture read a caption,
"Today Love was killed by Lust. Love was very young and innocent. Lust was in custody, but somehow escaped. If you see Lust, don't be caught alone with him, he will kill you like Love."
I've thought about the little girl every day since then.
I've wondered many times,
If I could have saved Love,
Or if Lust would always win.
