Wild Like The West
When I was young
I was king
of the wild west.
When I was young
I was faster than the coyotes
faster than the rabbits.
I would chase them,
out run them,
or so I thought.
When I was young
the trees would be my lookout
over the dry and barren land.
I would watch for friends,
watch for foes,
watch for wolves to outrun.
When I was young
my freedom was limitless
to possibilities, abilities, thoughts.
When I was young
my imagination ran wild-
wild like the west.
