My Dream

Sound asleep I lay
And a smile curls upon my lips,
As I watch a movie
Play my favorite and beloved dream.
Stillness comes upon me,
As I dream into infinity,
Letting my imagination take over,
And direct the scene.
Soon I spin into reality,
And my eyes flutter open,
I remember that dream,
The one with you in it,
And the one of my heart.
Then too soon
I am wide awake,
Now with only a faint memory
Of that dream,
Wished, to be reality,
That I hold next to my heart.
