Lady Light
Among the Host high above,
Alive and with a purest love,
sat an angel upon her throne,
her light she held the farthest shone.
She sat upon her golden cloud,
Her ebony hair flowed around,
Shimmering like a sea so black,
Beautiful to those who seem in lack.
To her knees it fell so free,
Her body pure, none should see.
A sparkle is a lightning shy,
That glistens sweetly in her eye,
Some would say she stole a jewel,
But those that say are naught but fools.
Sapphire so perfect in every way,
the stars grow dim put to shame.
With lips soft, firm and gentle,
An inferno emblazed she could kindle.
No kiss compared to the one she gave,
For it bound a man like her slave.
Even greater still was her voice so true,
Soft and subtle, seductive and new.
It could calm a storm, and light the way,
Or fell a giant, and remove his name.
But in her words and sound is rest.
Like those chicks in a mother’s nest.
Under her sheltering wings,
Followers gather to sing
Of their protector of Light.
Lady Light, as she was known
guided the stars to where they go.
The candle she bore within soul
Was brighter than the hottest coal
No love was as pure and true,
than that of the Lady, this he knew.
Many asked, but none were taken,
Her love was strong and bound, unshaken.
Another she loved, a lover forbidden,
yet cared she not, her love unhidden.
It was apparent in sight, obvious indeed
the one she loved, was the one she’d lead.
He was darkened yes, troubled by fears
And trials he’d suffered, through the years.
A knight fallen from his perch up High,
Lost to darkness, none to hear his cry.
Save for Lady Light who saw him close,
He was the one, it was him she chose
For although he was not in God’s Grace,
She loved him still, smiles on her face.
Different indeed, he caught her eye,
and for a while, watched him from a High.
But as far as legends go,
they have a tale, as you should know.
Love is not without its trials,
Yet it stands strong, all the while.
And Lady Light’s worth more than gold,
Forever bound and never sold.
She held it with a mother’s touch,
and n’ver it slipped from her clutch.
If any were true and pure of heart,
‘Twas the Lady from the start.
As she walked along her crystal shore,
water glistened on the skin she wore.
Rubies and emeralds put to shame,
Diamonds and pearls lost their name.
In awe of her beauty none opposed,
For all knew it was a fight to lose.
Her smile stuns like a serpent’s bite,
then gives a warmth like heaven’s light.
The grin she gave in joy so great,
could melt away the strongest hate.
Although a love was in her hand,
on its own her faith could stand.
She’s stood her ground time again
firm and proud, to humbly begin.
None compared to her love within.
For Lord Rezden, to him she was
doing true, that which a lover does.
Stepping past his evil wall,
loving him, his wicked soul.
Proving love can stop past flaws,
For her that meant breaking laws.
Reaching through the greatest void
to save his soul, ‘fore its destroyed.
Yet Lord Rezden, in all his might,
could not stand, before Lady Light.
Her love was great, which held him dear
and with a cradle pulled him near.
A warmth of light pierced his heart,
as his corrupted armor fell apart.
Something powerful saved his soul.
That of which was a love untold.
Saved from that great abyss,
that loving arrow could ne’er miss.
And so he fell without a fight,
In a deepest love for Lady Light.
AND SUCH WAS THEIR STORY TOLD,
THAT NOTHING BROKE THEIR LOVE OF OLD.
TOGETHER THEY STOOD, LOVE UNBOUND
IN THE LADY’S HEAVEN, HER GOLDEN CLOUD
FOREVER TOGETHER, LORD AND LIGHT
