Decisions
A year from nowadays
Everyone will be in different places in their lives
Different time zones, different situations
At separate bus stops
Waiting for the taxi or the children to cross
Isn't it terrifying,
that who you are today
In a year might be everything you're not
An abundance of things in life are replaceable
The nine o'clock laughs in the teacher's lounge
Periods of falling asleep on the job
Even the good days can be mistakable,
can be full of sound
Sound you ask?
Yes sound, fuzziness, white noise in the ear
The voice inside that screams, " What am I doing here?"
The mind is a powerful weapon
It can makes us believe anything
The hardest part is accepting to sink or swim
Easier said than done but if what you truly want
Is just the slightest out of reach
Then drop everything
Drop it all
Because right now is when you decide if you will stand,
Or if
You will fall
