Roses
Red Roses
Intense Passion, love—fire.
Beautiful and vibrant
Lifting up higher
Melodic and deep hued
But dangerous too
Symbolic—of my feelings
Yellow Roses
Togetherness, Friendship—Caring
Lax and Majestic
Free and Fantastic
But perhaps,
A bit cynical or sarcastic
Like Me. . .
White Roses
Dainty, Delicate—Cold
Piercing and sharp
Never growing old
But gentle and naïve
Like Snow,
A sweet reprieve
Pink Roses
I laugh as I write this,
They are eccentric, and free!
Wild and extravagant
Can you not see?
Roses of all kinds
All colors and forms;
Are who we are--
The differences that calm the storm
