Springtime
The hot white light
The sun that beams down through the day
Basking, in the sunshine
These times never go away
The earthy new fragrance. . .
Of trees, and plants coming back to life
The woody and natural scent
That brings me back to life
The storms and the harsh rains
Of torrent or wicked thunder
I love storms, and wet. . .
But what comes next, is a wonder
Another recount of new life in this verse
The bird chirping, whistling, and humming about
Flapping their wings, and flying
They must be happy; surely—no doubt
The luscious plant-life, here—and now
Vibrant hues of deep green arise from the grass
The trees, bushes, and flowers with rainbows of color
All bunched together in a landscape of our future and past
All the fun times of the outdoors
The sports and our hectic days
The time we long for school, to be over
Because we can't wait for the summer to blaze
This time of newness and regeneration in nature
Reflects in our lives as well
This is a time to branch out like the trees
To try something new
To do something bold, and different
Show individuality and be the real you
