Dreams
When I look at the sky, I can see infinity.
The great deep blue that only God can create
And the brightest stars you’ve ever seen;
An everlasting light too powerful to fade.
But what if I am one of those stars?
That eternal light inside my living soul
Drifting into space; blinding the people.
Never fading, never destroyed, effervescence in the night.
So as I dream I live on earth
To talk and eat and sing and love,
But my emotions are numb and my voice is dull
And my mind is tricked into thinking I’m alive.
Still I watch among the heavens
Watch my greatest fantasies
Watch with a smile and peace of mind
Because what is life, if not a dream?
