I Don't Know
Do you like me?
You asked me such a simple question
And I was for sure
That I knew the answer
Duh, of course I do
But maybe I don’t
Why don’t I know?
Is it because you broke my heart?
Yes.
One too many times
To be exact
If you asked me
To tell you my
Honest answer
I’m not positive that I could
Because it might make you
Regret asking
And make my heart hurt
So much worse
But then again
If I don’t tell you
You’ll never know
And quite frankly
I won’t know either
So maybe
For the time being
It’s best if you
Don’t know the answer
To the question
I know
No better than you do
