Vessel of Hope
My hope is a magnificent ship.
The most beautiful and strong vessel this world has seen.
It sails on the roughest seas with no fear.
Then there's the bitter cold of the towering iceberg ahead.
Warnings I've received have now materialized.
The unforgiving ice strikes.
It broke me apart.
People shrieking,
abandoning ship,
just like my heart.
Now I am but a hull.
Lying at the bottom of the deep, freezing ocean of regret.
Ghosts of hopes past wail in the pain of memory.
It will never get better,
I'll be here forever.
My hope is in ruins,
it's torn through my soul.
