blood and tears
A man
With stained-red hands
Outside a door
A baby, dropped and broken
A woman burst
with a run
Into the street, in Paris
naked.
She looked tigerish,
blood dripped
from her fingers.
Running from,
the bloody baby
not seeing,
the tears of the man
Tears mix with blood
people stop and stare
they look and wonder
the man then screams
to the heavens
It echo’s through the street
The woman
hears the scream
looks at her fingers
watches the blood
it drips into the street
She walks
back to the man
looks him in the eyes
drops to her knees
They break down
That night the street
is filled
with the blood and tears
of the family
