Clouds
I have a sister who is beautiful
I have a father who is smart
I have a mother with more love in her heart
than I knew could exist in a person
but sometimes
I walk along the sidewalk
and I am at a loss for myself.
The sun rises early here in Virginia,
and on overcast days
the sun's tangerine orange
burns through the morning's grey-white clouds
and eventually
the light pierces through
the bleakness
and then
deep down
I know everything is going to be okay.
