We Wait for the Day
We wait for the day
And pray
For when We can see your smile
When we can talk for awhile
When you can walk
When you can talk
When We see your face again
When We see you and grin
For We will tell you
How much We've missed you
But you will awake as if it has been only a night
But only if We might
Hold your hand
And we shall walk on land
And swim in the sea
For it will be
All of us living in glee
But for now we wait for the day
When We can say
"I love you"
