The "F"
The red ink splattered on the page formed the shape of an “F” . . . again
It grins up at me as if it knows that I’ll be crying myself to sleep again tonight
Just looking at it I can hear her yelling at me
“YOU’R NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH! HOW COME YOU’RE SO STUPID?”
Even though I know there just more lies she feeds me, it still hurts
When she calls my name in class, I don’t hear “Hunter” anymore
I hear “Disappointment”
I’ll never be me again . . .
From now on this is my new identity . . .
. . . The Failure . . .
