And I won't say anything at all
Laughter rings out clearly
Smirk plastered as hair flips as spun
The joke well received by all
Other’s pain the price to stand tall
Except downcast eyes reveal
Hellfire of rage repressed with a smile
Twist the knife in wounded heart
Strong she’ll stand as she falls apart
Give to get; out of karma’s reach
Crumbling fortress adding to ruins
Words strung to together to tease
Through the eyes of supposed friend; never to please
Infallible ego seems the cause
Walking target as trauma mounted
Steps backwards cannot possible retrace
When friendship turned to an empty embrace
Dismiss the case as mean conjecture
Operating under the belief that
Silence is permission given
Taunts to lower; never truly forgiven
