Just a Dog
It's just a dog they say.
I agree, just a dog.
Just a dog who is my best friend, always there when I need him,
always willing to play.
Just a dog who is overjoyed when I walk through the door everyday.
Just a dog who can comfort me when I'm sad,
and make me laugh when I'm angry.
Just a dog who knows exactly what to say without using words.
To hold the status of being "just a dog" is an honor,
for few humans can possess the qualities of man's best friend.
