Garden Party Crashers
Garden party crashers
hide in the tulips as we sit down for tea
Their curious eyes stare through the pink petals
As the scones are passed, the flowers quake
The tea is sipped
Garden party crashers
stand by in the roses and wait
as secrets are passed through the soil
Three small girls in petticoats
share their stories with the trees
Garden party crashers
lay frozen in the dandelions
as a giggle is passed among them
The three girls turn
And they hold their breath
as they wait for it to pass
Garden party crashers
become one with the trees
as the girls run off to play
Never to be seen
Never to be heard
Until the girls come back to them once again
