Heaven
A murmur of water fills my ears,
I smell the spring water that’s so pure,
Coo’s and Oo ah ah’s echo through the trees;
Every step I take my feet squish and squash,
My toes slowly sinking down into the warm mud;
The golden rays beam down to the earth,
Illuminating each and every leaf to a light green,
The dew glistens in the sunlight filling my eyes with sparkle;
Growls and Snarls behind me raise goose bumps,
A brush of soft fur touches my leg,
I see a glance orange and black;
No need to be afraid he’s friendly.
I breathe through my mouth,
I can taste everything;
The water, the air, and the stinky mud;
All my senses are overtaken with the jungle;
Listening, smelling, seeing, feeling, and tasting everything.
Momentarily the noise becomes mute;
All that was once bustling is now silent.
I hear a whisper but I’m all alone?
It’s God, and he’s met me in my heaven.
