Where is the Hope?
Unbeknownst to you, as you sleep at night,
A child is dead, and given his last rites.
His cold, pale skin no longer red and pink,
With no more youth in his once rosy cheeks.
Yet, you dream on, uncaring of the boy,
You think that ignorance will bring you joy.
The world is empty without any hope,
None in this world to help the hurting cope.
But wait, inside your heart, is that a spark,
That will give light to those trapped in the dark?
Wait, don’t snuff it out! Let it burn with pride!
For the family of the boy that died,
Has one plea among their sorrow and pain,
That what they went through won't happen again.
You might think you're worthless, can't help a soul,
A mistake in this world, don’t have a role.
Behold! There’s a message from all in need,
and the little boy whose spirit's been freed.
Believe it or not, it's completely true,
Their only hope... And their savior... Is YOU.
