Rampant MAG
Fly – free and fast,
Calls the wind to me, and I respond in kind
Dipping brushstrokes like wings, floating on confidence and beams of sun
Crying “hallelujah” to the smell of hard-won dirt and mud
Leap! And I respond,
Splash in corners of never-lasting but overwhelming song and dance,
And while the bonds are broken from the ground
Fly over tanned hills of green grass and trees bent over, too full of dark oaken patience.
Sing! And I respond,
Free speckled dust unleashed from its earthy burrows
Whipped into frenzies,
Fast like evening and its pleasures –
Calls the wind to me, and I respond in kind
Dipping boughs of color and writing “hallelujah” in the rampancy of a newly freed soul.
