Caged
The beast paced back and forth,
Back and forth,
Incarcerated behind rusted metal gaits,
He growls,
Showing teeth as white as snow,
His strips are midnight,
Eyes golden,
Staring through the bars.
Here comes the keeper,
To feed the beast,
With rotted rations,
That smell of fish.
The beast eats the rotted fish,
Before pacing,
Back and forth,
Back and forth,
Paws thudding the wooden floor,
The beast paces
Back and forth,
Within the cage,
That holds him captive.
