hallucinations
We'll be the two that never sleep,
Who run 'round the town
In the pitch black night
Painting stars onto buildings sides
And leaving footprints in the dark.
Holding hands till the break of dawn,
Running wild through the sky,
You and I,
No fairy tales or "once upon"'s.
When sunlight breaks
And dawn overflows
We'll sing and sing and sing and sing
A song that only we will know.
Dancing across the hours
As they tick tick tick tick by,
Don't ever let go of me,
I'm afraid I might leave you behind.
Sirens wailing in our ears,
Don't stop now,
And don't look back.
We run till we can't feel our feet,
Can't catch our breath,
And we still won't sleep.
Running from their sharp cold eyes,
And from their honey-sprinkled lies,
And dozens of uncounted suicides,
From midnight to noon,
It'll be us two,
Don't stop till we hit the moon,
