The Inevitable Fall

You never offered to wait around.
And catch me as I collapse into the wind.
Though that's what I've gone and done now.
The wind is beautifully graceful.
Though I desperately yearn for a more substantial
Being, such as you.
Such as you.
You wander about.
It's cliched. It's wholly true.  I fell.
I fell into love with you, minus you.
You know nothing of my downward plunges.
Besides what the gossipers have told to you.
"She loves you.." They whine.
"She loves you.."
"She loves you.."
"She loves you.."
My whole mass doubles, triples, lowers in altitude.
My inevitable crash comes nearer.
Your eyes stuck on the boulders that will break my bones.
Your ears stuck on the gossipers predictable confessions.
"I love you."
"I love you."
"I love you."
The wind slows down and my trajectory steepens.
There is no hope for me.
Before I fall to your feet.
Whilst I'm still above you.
I sing in my prettiest voice.
"I love you!"
"I love you!"
"I love you!"
And I pray wih my dying heart that you love me too.

Your poem was wonderful. I actually am doing a poem assignment in class and I shared yours (with full credit of course) for inspiration. :)
