Just Wanted to Make Sure You Knew
Anger and disgust
A filthy hate
Disturbing
The amount of loathing I feel
For the one person
Who seems to represent everything I hate
Within the human race
Churning emotions
The burning need to fight,
but forcing myself into flight
I can no longer pretend to even care
And it shows, oh yes it shows
This man who ruined my whole day with a glance
A hello as we passed in the hallway
And it shows
I seek refuge
In the English Paradise
The Literature Oasis
A safe haven for little books like me
The one place
With the one man
Who can make the last nine months
with the worst teacher I've ever had
Bearable
The one teacher, the best teacher
who can make my day, week, year
The teacher who didn't take four months to learn my name
The man who didn't give me my first and only C
I've ever received on an English paper
A man who never, ever once made my feel stupid
The one teacher I wanted to talk to when my world fell apart
The man who taught my it's okay to show you soul to the world
Ever once in a while
Who always seems to care about whatever I tell him
Who never truly judged me based on what he could see on the outside
but what he sensed from the inside
The man who can take away the need to cry and scream
With kind, caring, profound words
And a simple embrace
