With Her She Brings the Spring
Lost,
cold hands.
my lips are
frozen.
eyes stuck,
won’t close,
open.
your smell,
your perfume.
a memory
like a flower in bloom.
opened
chewed
eaten
swallowed.
the fairies
dance, they’re rejoicing.
they hear your voice,
they say your coming.
it’s getting warmer.
your hot hands
thaw my skin.
the shivers stop
I can feel again.
your lips touch mine,
I breathe in.
you have saved me,
yet again.
