It's a Burn That Remains
You said so many things,
So many words that hurt me,
You don't know that though,
Because I've never told anyone,
But the remaining ringing,
Of your voice repeating,
In the back of my head,
I know you don't know,
Because to you it was just fun and games,
But it's always,
Just fun and games,
Until someone gets hurt,
And starts crying,
But this time I held those tears in,
I waited till the end of the day,
When you were probably already asleep,
When the moon hid behind the clouds,
When the lights all went out,
Because you don't need light to cry,
You're in the dark anyways,
But those words,
Those hundreds of needles,
That you threw continuously,
Into my soul,
Created a permanent scar,
And not an unnoticeable one,
That's easy to hide,
Trust me I've tried,
No it's not that kind,
It's one that you left on my face,
The face I'm supposed to put on,
Everyday when I wake up,
Every time I leave the house,
And there's no covering that,
It's a burn that remains,
It's a raincloud on my fire,
It's a memory that I wish I never had,
You didn't know,
You thought you were just playing,
And somehow,
All these poems,
Turn out to be about you,
Yet you still don't know,
How much you've hurt me,
How much I died,
How much I cried.
