M....O....M
You are the woman who brought me into this world.
That is enough I should be thankful for.
But of course,
there are many things more,
because you are my mother.
You teach me right from wrong,
and I learn life lessons from you.
Angelena's and my life's
must have been like a movie to you.
I feel like that's how quickly its going.
It feels like just yesterday,
when Angelena and I would awaken from the covers of your bed.
The mornings of uneasiness,
would settle throughout our house.
Silence would creep upon the walls,
because we were alone.
Just the three of us,
you were the only one who could truly break the silence.
I believe it made you stronger,
and more independent.
Two things I love about you out of a million.
You may not realize it,
but for the most part,
you are the one who laces this family together.
Even when we all feel like we are all holding on,
by just one string.
I remember when I was little,
I wanted to be just like you,
in every way.
Even when I would sit in your lap, when we'd watch movies,
I would breathe either really fast,
or really slow,
just so our hearts could beat at the same pattern.
Or when you'd make me smile,
by calling my name,
so softly
when I buried my face in the corner while I cried.
Another thing I love about you,
you put your family before yourself,
in case you haven't realized.
You inspire me so much,
everyday with everything you do.
You teach me so much,
from driving a car,
to cooking things in the kitchen.
Your hysterical,
and I'm glad our family has so many good memories and funny stories to tell.
That's really rare to find now.
You are yourself,
you respect yourself and others around you,
your patient,
your kind,
and your honest.
Your beautiful inside and out,
your the mother every child could wish for.
I cant go a day without you,
or at least thinking about you.
I cant go long without missing you.
I'm happy to say I can talk to you about anything,
maybe not fearlessly,
but you've reassured me,
that with any obstacles life has to throw at me,
you will try your absolute best to help me overcome them.
When I am sick,
you are beside me until I regain strength.
When I am lonely,
you are here to comfort me.
On the outside,
I may be growing up into the beautiful young lady you've made me into,
but on the inside,
I hope to forever be your little girl.
You have taught me to achieve my dreams,
no matter how far I have to chase them.
Because of you,
I have accomplished a lot in life.
It may not seem like I appreciate you,
but I hope this reassures you.
I appreciate you more then words can explain.
I'm proud to say you are my mother,
and forever will be.
Happy 45th birthday mom,
Love you forever and always.
