Drifting
Soaring into the night ever further
Chasing after speckles of gold
The rocket is propelled closer
And closer to worlds unknown.
The craft sails into the abyss
Challenging the scope of reality
Chasing dreams, harrowing bliss
A thrusting blade through darkness.
But what happens when the blaze
Winks out like a dying a star?
When the fuel is in its final phase
And the gauge reads empty?
Does the rocket stop and fall,
Gravity swiftly reclaiming its form?
Or does it float on above all
And drift towards the stars?
