It hurts to look up
to see the stars shining so bright
to hear the calling of the moon
in the sky so clear
It hurts to look up
to have the peace envelop me
to let the breeze carry me
up to the edges of the earth
It hurts to look up
to feel the soft kiss of night
to hold the remembrance
of a long summer's day
It hurts to look up
to know you have to look back down
to see the end and to hold it
