Friday night fight
fresh cut grass
new paint
yard markers set up
lights around the field begin to light up
coolers made
field set up and ready to go
but yet my job has just begun
minute by minute
our stands fill
with friends and family who've come to cheer us on
the other team is coming out
ready to go, their stands are cheering
then the boys I've watched grow into men
watch the love for this game grow
this past season
come out
I look into each of their eyes
and know their ready for this Friday night fight
I can see the love for our team, our family, our game
nothing can compare to this night every week
as we walk down onto the field
I know that football is what I love
and being there feeling that love
feeling their love
is like no other feeling known
