You Don't Know
You don’t know me.
You know my face,
But not my fears.
You know my clothes,
But not the bruises they cover.
You can see the color of my eyes,
But not the tears they’re repressing.
You know my voice,
But not my screams.
You don’t know my story.
You don’t know me.
Who would I be if you could see my secrets?
What if you saw my fears?
Or my bruises?
What if you felt my tears?
What if you heard my screams?
Would you judge me if you knew me?
But you don’t know me,
You never will.
Don’t judge the journey,
Until you’ve felt the thrill.
