She of whom I love
If you asked me who
she
is, I would not tell you
she
is my grandma. For
she
is more than that!
She
loved cats and
she
loved God.
She
gave me her hat and
she
lent me her scarf.
She
played dress-up with me.
She
awoke in the morning. -early.
She
began her slumber the same. -early.
She
knew I loved to paint nails, for
she
had me paint hers once or twice.
She
adored her kids and their kids.
She
fed stray cats, and
she
prayed for the sick. For,
she
had a big heart.
She
adored the color green. All shades.
She
asked for nothing at Christmas, and
she
asked for nothing for her birthday.
She
loved the bracelet I gifted her.
She
knew it was homemade.
She
went to the hospital.
She
slipped away from us.
She
went home to be with the Lord.
She
received her wings.
She
watched me cry at her funeral.
She
watched me cry for days later.
She
watched me grow stronger and
she
helped my continue my life.
She
knows I'll never forget dress-up.
She
knows
I love her a lot!

Most of my poems are happy and cheerful, but I think that poems should show feeling. At right now, that is just how I am feeling! I <3 you grandma!
