Burning
I try not to think
And i try not to feel
The fire burning through my chest.
It singes the edges
Of a once whole heart,
Becoming jagged and hallow.
The only thing keeping me alive
Is a rage that isn't visible on the outside
But consumes the inner.
I am powered by this feeling
But must shade my eyes
A vacant gray.
For no one can see me wallow in this sorrow
And no one must notice my light
That has been burnt out
By you.
