Heroes
Bodies everywhere,
A bloody mess.
Families crying,
Parents mourning over their children.
The sound of the trumpet as the flag rises,
Victory we have won.
Many have died,
They made a sacrifice.
For the red, white, and blue they stand.
For them we are grateful,
They protect our freedom,
And gained our rights.
Patriotism they have mastered,
The ultimate trophy they have won.
Though they may have died,
They had a purpose.
They are my heroes.
