Dominic Lucero
Born on August 28th
In the year of 1967
A handsome face once lived
But is now living in heaven
Named Dominic Lucero
He's mostly known for his Roundhouse days
Some know him like I
Some in other ways
I can't say his death was tragic for me
Since we've never met each other
Due to a strange connection though
He died from the same illness as a friend's brother
As I write this sad little poem
My heart is racing to a rapid beat
Sorrow quickly filling it
For it was him I've wanted to meet
I picture cancer as a war
But he'll always be remembered
One he fought to the end
Before he peacefully surrendered
He died two years before I was born
Two years after a memorable spin on a ceiling fan
Yet what I've heard and read
He was a great friend and grateful young man
