Banish You
Banish it, banish it.
I won't let it overtake me again.
The need, the crave
To have you in more than my mind.
I gave up, I gave in
And realized that I didn't hold your heart.
You convinced me when you denied me,
Though you still had my heart in hand.
I let you go, I let it all go,
And wrapped the pain in my words.
Slowly it disappeared, it bled out.
And I could look at you again.
But now you're back, just like before.
And now you again demand my attention.
I give it to you, along with wish,
That'll you exchange it for your affection.
Just like before, I want so much more.
You've clenched my heart again.
And I would gladly stay, a small price to pay.
If you convince me there's still hope.
