Mended Sorrow
The words I say can not express my sorrow.
The tears I cry will not wash away my guilt.
I purposely meant to hurt you, although what I said was lies.
I fear you will not forgive me therefore inside I have died.
I can’t believe I hurt you, when all I did was love, I can’t help to feel like the victim, because I hurt too.
You make my chest sink deeper with every thought of you, as my guilt grows larger it gets harder to breathe, because every breath I took was a breath for you.
I fall at the mercy of my morals.
Though I deserve no forgiveness, a deity of sorts would.
I have made a mistake out of fear and anger.
Now I try to mend it with my love.
