Best friends
always and forever
phone calls, sleep overs,
even letters.
A bond filled with
happiness, memories
secrets and each other.
Not a single fight,
Until Sunday night.
Seeing you smile,
Hearing you chuckle,
to some other friend,
torture.
My distressed eyes searched
the room, daily,
hoping to catch your glance.
Like an outsider
I watched him
break your heart.
I could no longer
bare to see.
I made a mistake
by saying I was done.
a friendship mended
but a scar,
branded.
You are still my
Best friend
Always and forever.
